Productivity and Profitability of Green Gram [Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek] under System of Crop Intensification

Background: Green gram is one of the important pulse crop and also a drought resistant crop, suitable for summer fallows in Kerala. Though it has multifarious advantages, productivity green declining year by due to various reasons. Adoption low-cost production technologies like system intensification (SCI) practices Gram may enhance reduce gap between per capita availability consumption resource use efficiency farming system. Methods: A field experiment was laid out split plot design with four replications during 2022. Main treatments were spacings 25 cm × 15 each maintained single double seedling hill. The sub include foliar application urea @ 2%, DAP KNO3 0.5% 2% + at 30 DAS. Result: results revealed that spacing or hill along DAS recorded higher growth attributes, yield attributes economics viz., plant height, number branches plant, leaf area, pods seeds pod, 100 seed weight, net income benefit cost ratio.
